At Cornwall and Devon Locksmith Training, we are committed to empowering our students with the knowledge and necessary skills to become accomplished locksmiths in each skill set we train you in.
On our 7 day locksmith training course you will learn all of the skills required to become a residential and commercial locksmith in the UK. You will have to undertake a pre course online before the 7 day course to get you course ready. Once you undertake the 7 day locksmith training course you will return to the online training course to help refresh the knowledge you have learned and to keep your training fresh by practicing and carrying out assignments from home.
The 7 day locksmith training course is an all rounder style course that trains you on the most common jobs we see in the UK as locksmiths. You can train for 36 weeks to gain access to the Locksmith Masters Award or you can undertake a 7 day locksmith course and learn the most common skills required today!

One to one training on real doors, real homes, real shop shutters, real commercial doors and more.
We will cover the above topics but each topic is split into a smaller sections along with many other topics we have not mentioned. Some of this is theory based with our online portal with easy to watch videos and easy to use diagrams. The rest is hands on, dealing with physical mortice lock and night latch issues to picking locks and making the picking tools, we will be taking the locks apart and learning every aspect of the mortice and night latch and having to overcome them. This is a hands on course using power tools.
Accommodation in Newquay Cornwall
We offer each of our courses with accommodation at Trethiggey Holiday Park in Newquay Cornwall. This comes at an extra cost but on the 7 day locksmith course you get the accommodation included.
On the 7 day locksmith training course you will have 9 nights in one of our high end static holiday rentals on a beautiful 23 acre park with 3 lakes only a few minutes from Newquay Town and Beaches.
We are also based on the same site. The accommodation is in a luxury static holiday home close by 3 Cornish pubs with food, a few minutes from the shops and cafes. Its ideal to walk to after training for food or a few relaxing drinks in the evening.
We can also arrange airport, transportation and coach and train pick up in Newquay if required!
The accommodation sleeps up to 4 people! You can bring 3 other people with you or not. Its your choice.
This accommodation and course is self catering but we do supply a welcome mini hamper or milk, local Cornish tea etc. .

We include the perfect locksmith tool kit for each course we offer, these are tried and tested tools that we use as locksmiths in our main locksmith company and not just in training. WE do not give our tool list away as its a trade secret on what we offer as its an amazing surprise when the students see all of the tools and get to use on drying and after the course.
Its everything from Toe and Heeling tools, mortice jig for fitting mortise locks, to multi tools for cutting, drill bits, picks, electronic pick tools, decoding tools and so much more!

Before booking please note that once you book the course is none refundable. if you need to cancel within 7 days of the course., such as 3 days before the course date This is due to the outlay of the course materials, rental of the accommodation, staff costings for handling and so on. If you cancel 7 days before the course, such as 9 days before the course then you get a partial refund minus costings for any materials etc.
