Locksmith Hands on Course
This page is to highlight type of hands on training you will undertake on your hands on course but its does not show everything as we have trade secrets that we do not advertise online about what we train you in or the methods as you will find out when you sign any training contracts before your course starts.
Remember that this is part of 3 courses. The 1st being your LFA1 known as the pre course. This gets you ready for the hands on section. It will teach you about all the tools, the types of locks, terminology and much more.
Once you undertake the hands on section for normally 5 days but it can be up to 14 days depending on your package, you then enrol on the 3rd course which is our aftercare deep study online program which elevates your skill sets with hands on practice assignments and deep study research program, enhancing your skills and confidence and tying all 3 courses together to make the perfect locksmith training program and the only one of its kind in the UK. .
Hands on means hands on!
You will be with us for 1 to 14 days depending on your course and package. In this time you will be hands on training. That means we will be putting hands on tools, mastering the use of them and you will become confident in each skill set we teach.

Depending on the length of time you are with us will depend on how in-depth we will go on each subject. The main objective is to train your correctly in the key aspects of what we actually do today as a locksmith.

UPVC and Composite Fitter and Servicing
This is as it reads, a hands on section in stripping down multi point doors, dealing with failed multi point locks and opening doors without any damage, replacing the parts and components and dealing with real world scenarios.

You will learn about the tools you have in your kit and how to use them correctly in dropped doors, jammed doors, failed multi point mechanisms and much more!
Multi Points in Depth
On our course we dont just cover a small section on multi points. We go deeper than any other course in the UK, as we strip down many multi points, rebuilding them and repairing issues to learning how to operate on a failed multi point in a deadlocked closed door and gaining entry without damage through to dealing with automatic locking systems and lock outs plus much more!
Wooden Door Locks to Shop Shutters!
You will be dealing with wooden door locks, from fitting them to milling out virgin wood to fitting fresh locks and hardware. You will be learning all that can be learned about wooden locks and wooden doors through to mortice cylinders.
We will be looking at fire rated hardware and doors, the types of locks that's found on such doors and much more!

You will also be looking at shop shutters, shutter bolts and locks!
Lever Lock Picking and Tool Making!
On your course you will learn the skills of picking and decoding lever locks, also known as mortice locks with hands on lock picking skill training and hands on decoding training using the best in decoding tools to making your own custom pick set, decoding set and decoding charts. We offer the UK's most in-depth lever lock course for residential locks. By the time your done you will be bale to look at any mortice key and know which lever matches which key cut! Then hand make keys to mastering picking and much more!
UPVC Toe and Heeling!
On our course we go beyond "just servicing" and move into UPVC door and window toe and heeling which will give you a much wider scope and understanding in dealing with doors that have dropped, been forced and failed. Once you replace the broken parts you can set about toe and heeling the door to make sure the door now fully works and wont be a detriment to you warranty!
Master Picking High Security Cylinders!
Most course just train you on standard locks and charge you extra to learn the advanced stages of picking! But not with us. We train you on all stages of locks with hands on training. We do have set targets to achieve results. If we gave you 20 locks for the week to pick and open by the end of the week we would expect to see around 12 of them picked and opened. You will learn our skill sets and methods of opening high security, 3 star rated and Diamond rated locks. Laying down the foundational skills of mastering tension, placement and method along with how the picks actually work. You will start on the manual method before moving to electronic methods. Plus much more!
Learning How to use your Tools!
From day 1 you will be hands on with your own tools. We supply a large comprehensive range of tools as part of your course that you keep and take away with you.

We actually include 3 tool packs as part of the course.
​
These tools are everything from technical locksmith tools used for lock picking or lock decoding through to tools used to operate on locks such as specialist cameras that we use to see inside of the locks.
​
You will also be making tools the traditional way. This will be things such as lever lock pick wires, lever lock deciding wires and decoding keys through to dimple lock picks and much more.
